Maybury State Park

We have been in our new home for about 4 years now and FINALLY visited Maybury State Park...it's only 1 1/2 miles from our home! We spent a nice day with the family playing at the tot lot, hiking through the woods, and visiting the pond. Maybe when the boys get bigger, we can go horse back riding too.

Alex's School Picnic

Alex and his class finished pre-school with an end of the year picnic. As Alex is celebrating his last year at Plymouth-Canton Montessori, A.J. is getting ready to start his pre-school years there in the fall.

Alex really liked his teachers this year! He will definitely miss them.

Easter 2009

EASTER 2009

We had another great Easter! This year was especially great because not only did we have an Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood, but the Easter Bunny made a special visit to see Alex and A.J. on Easter. Now how many kids can say that the Easter Bunny came to their house? They were SOOO excited!! Alex talked about it for days!

Polish School 2008-2009

Sorry for the delay in between posts...it's been a very busy 5 months!! More updates will be coming, I promise.

POLISH SCHOOL - Alex just finished his second year at Polish School. He took both Polish language and dance classes. The last couple months of school, A.J. wanted to go with his big brother so he joined Alex in his Polish language class as well. Next year we'll have 2 little boys in Krakowiak costumes!

Polish School Christmas Party

Alex really looked forward to his Polish School Christmas Party because he couldn't wait to sing his Polish songs. Here is a clip. (To listen to the video, press pause on the playlist at the bottom of this page to pause the music.)

Thanksgiving 2008

Rob has a family tradition (going back many many years) of running in the Turkey Trot in Downtown Detroit right before the Thanksgiving Parade. Well, this year was Alex's 1st year! The next generation in this tradition begins! Alex ran the Mash Potato Mile with Grandpa Cardenas, then cheered on dad, and of course finished up the morning by going to the bar! Yes, the bar. It's also part of the tradition...going to Honest John's Bar and supporting their Thanksgiving Day dinner for the homeless. Here are some great pics!

Alex cannot go Downtown without visiting the old Tiger Stadium
...or what's left of it.

Halloween 2008

It's been quite some time since I posted anything...it's been a heck of a few months. Below are some pics summarizing our last few months. More updates will be forthcoming. I have a lot of catching up to do! Enjoy:-)

Alex was all about being Batman this year, but A.J. wanted nothing to do with dressing up. He did love his new pumpkin t-shirt his aunt Pat made him though.
