Polish School Christmas Party

Alex really looked forward to his Polish School Christmas Party because he couldn't wait to sing his Polish songs. Here is a clip. (To listen to the video, press pause on the playlist at the bottom of this page to pause the music.)

Thanksgiving 2008

Rob has a family tradition (going back many many years) of running in the Turkey Trot in Downtown Detroit right before the Thanksgiving Parade. Well, this year was Alex's 1st year! The next generation in this tradition begins! Alex ran the Mash Potato Mile with Grandpa Cardenas, then cheered on dad, and of course finished up the morning by going to the bar! Yes, the bar. It's also part of the tradition...going to Honest John's Bar and supporting their Thanksgiving Day dinner for the homeless. Here are some great pics!

Alex cannot go Downtown without visiting the old Tiger Stadium
...or what's left of it.

Halloween 2008

It's been quite some time since I posted anything...it's been a heck of a few months. Below are some pics summarizing our last few months. More updates will be forthcoming. I have a lot of catching up to do! Enjoy:-)

Alex was all about being Batman this year, but A.J. wanted nothing to do with dressing up. He did love his new pumpkin t-shirt his aunt Pat made him though.

Fall 2008

Alex just enjoyed his very 1st University of Michigan game at The Big House! The crowd was over 109,000 people (mostly dressed in maize) so you can imagine Alex's excitement of the crowd! He learned all the U of M chants and of course he knows the fight song...he loves singing HAIL HAIL, TO MICHIGAN....!

Alex with Aunt (Ciocia) Andrea. Andrea is a freshman at Michigan
this year so she'll definitely be at every game!

Both Alex & Rob enjoyed a "guys day out" together at the game and can't wait to do it again!

Summer 2008

Thomas the Tank Engine & The Henry Ford

Alex & A.J. really enjoy our annual trip to visit Thomas! This year they even bumped into their good friends Claire and Alex.

Detroit Tiger Games!

This year we went to a few Sunday Tiger's games. On Sunday's kids run the bases after the game. Normally it's just for the kids but Rob loves the fact that A.J. is still too small to run them himself. I'm sure he'll try to use that excuse next year as well.

Misc. Summer Pictures

Alex enjoyed his very first fishing experience in August...at the Annual Kids Fishing Derby at Rob's work. Dziadzius had the experience of teaching Alex how to fish...Alex wasn't so sure about the real worms though. Actually, Alex had more fun driving the golf cart around rather than fishing since he didn't catch anything. Now everytime he goes to the club he wants to take the cart and go fishing.
